The Norton School of Lymphatic Therapy has been offering the CDT Certification Course for over 20 years. In that time we have received countless requests for expert help during the home study portion of the course. Students complete one third of the 135-hour course prior to attending the live classroom training. They can be surprised by the sophisticated nature of the home study, sometimes feeling stuck on challenging concepts or needing a deeper understanding of key curriculum topics. These experiences can lead students to wish they had access to a subject matter expert able to provide timely answers to their specific questions. Whether it is clarification about the anatomy of the lymphatic system or uncertainty about the application of Starling’s Equilibrium, students are not always sure how to resolve such questions on their own. This need has now been addressed.
INTRODUCING HOME STUDY MENTOR ℠
We are proud to announce Home Study Mentor (HSM), an innovative study upgrade now available to students registering for the CDT Certification Course. HSM can be added at the time of registration or at any time during the home study period. This upgrade entitles students to submit questions and receive detailed answers directly from Steve Norton, Executive Director and Founder of the Norton School, all within a guaranteed time frame.
Home Study Mentor was tested over a 12-month trial period. Students enrolled in the trial were surveyed upon completion of the CDT Certification Course.
- Participants gave HSM an average overall score of 4.8 out of 5.
- 94% of participants reported feeling very confident or confident with their understanding of the home study material when starting the live classroom portion of the course.
- Participants submitted 168 questions during the trial. 157 answers were rated Excellent or Very Good and received an average score of 4.7 out of 5 for clarity and relevance.
- 100% of participants passed the CDT Certification Course.
- 92% of participants rated HSM an Excellent or Very Good value.
- 95% of participants said they would recommend HSM to a colleague or friend planning to take the CDT certification course.
HOW DOES HOME STUDY MENTOR WORK?
Students can add Home Study Mentor at the time of registration or at any time prior to the start of the live course. The program is available in three support plan levels:
Basic Support
This plan is ideal for students who need occasional assistance. It provides comprehensive answers to four of the student’s original questions, with each reply being sent within 72 business hours.
Enhanced Support
This plan provides more extensive assistance, making it suitable for students who benefit from moderate mentorship. It provides comprehensive answers to seven of the student’s original questions, with each reply being sent within 72 business hours.
Premium Support
This plan offers the highest level of support and is designed for students seeking thorough understanding and confidence before attending the live portion of the course. Premium Support provides comprehensive answers to ten of the student’s original questions, with each reply being sent within 48 business hours, the highest priority response window.
These plans have been designed to offer students the opportunity to select an appropriate amount of support based on individual needs and learning styles. And because Home Study Mentor has just been made available, students can take advantage of special introductory pricing:
